50,000 hours OLED displays by Inteltronic

In addition to the conventional benefits of OLED displays, such as a viewing angle of more than 160° independent of direction and low current consumption, many developers still do not know about the service life of this technology. Inteltronic can supply the perfect reply to this in the form of its yellow monochrome OLED displays. Their specified service life is at least 50,000 hours as long as they are used correctly. In addition users must be aware that this service life specification describes the point at which the display only possesses 50% of its initial brightness. The display will therefore not have to be replaced after 50,000 hours but can carry on in use, depending on brightness requirements.

Inteltronic can supply a 3.12” OLED display with 16 grey scales in the form of its “UG-5664ASYEF01”. This is a monochrome version in yellow although versions in white and light blue are also available.

Constricted conditions in housings are no longer a problem. OLED displays feature an extremely low design height of just 2 mm and are therefore ideal for the construction of very flat devices or for retrofitting displays in devices without having to change the housing dimensions.

Other advantages of Inteltronic OLED  displays include their integrated charge pumps. These allow the reduction of 12 to 16 external components, allow a simpler PCB layout and prevent EMC problems with the external DC/DC converters and inductivities.
