OLED displays are cost saving, energy saving

OLED displays are cost saving, energy saving

Users of PM OLED know that both low and high voltage supplies are required to power up an OLED display.  High voltage can be created by using a low voltage supply together with a number of external components. For example, DC/DC converter chip, capacitor, inductor and sometimes resistor. The additional parts can increase costs in your products.

Inteltronic Inc. launched a range of OLED modules with built in DC/DC charge pumps. UG-2864HMBEG01 and UG-2864HSWEG01 and UG-9616TLBBG02 are ideal for low power handheld products and industrial applications.

With the embedded feature, only a single low voltage supply 3.3V-4.2V and three add-on capacitors are required to power up each display. You can easily bring up to 90% of savings on the costs associated with external components normally required for a PMOLED.

Schematic design of application circuits around the new OLED displays can also be simplified and less peripheral components are needed. Engineers can reduce design problems and leading to higher cost effectiveness as a whole.
